Cub Scouts is a program within Scouting America that aims to prepare youth to grow into self-reliant and dependable adults. Cub Scouts achieve this with a lineup of hands-on activities and adventures focused on: character development, spiritual growth, good citizenship, sportsmanship and fitness, family understanding, respectful relationships, personal achievement, friendly service, fun, and adventure.
This is at Pavilion 3, the one with the ball field away from Schultz Lodge. You don’t want to miss this one. We have a ceremony where the Scouts move up to their next rank. They receive new neckerchiefs and a celebration of their hard work and accomplishments.
Then we eat. Then we play. We have lots of activities planned around our theme this year. Plan on some fun.
Don’t forget your Feller’s Cake Bake! A chicken tender and macaroni ‘n’ cheese feast will be supplied, but the Scouts are in charge of dessert. A Scout and a Feller in their life should bring a dessert. This can be anything. Feel free to be creative. No need to bring a lot.
Wear your Class B under your Class A. After the ceremony we’ll dress down. Some of our activities will be potentially messy so please dress accordingly.
We are marching in the Memorial Day Parade in Beaver. This is a class A uniform event. We would like all of our Scouts to look sharp to honor the Veterans on the day. Please reach out to scoutspack499@gmail.com if you are in need of something.
10 -10:15 am: Meet in front of the Trek Bike Shop on Third Street.
10:30 am: Parade starts. It takes about 45 minutes to march down to the cemetery. We will meet for all to collect their Scouts in the green space by the entrance to the cemetery on the corner of Third and Buffalo.
